The unrest in Libya reached a crescendo once again yesterday - but the country's leader, Muammar Gaddafi, appeared as if he didn't have a care in the world as he played a game of chess during an appearance on state television.
Colonel Gaddafi met with the president of the international chess federation and former Russian provincial governor, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, in Libya's capital, Tripoli.
Mr Ilyumzhinov said the Libyan leader told him he had no intention of leaving the country, according to Russia's Interfax news agency.
